Sounds like: Rock
1. How did you get started with music and how did you develop your sound? Who thought of the name “The Wires" and is there any meaning behind it?
All of us studied our instruments at the same school when we were young. The teachers put together small bands and we participated in small concerts around our hometown. To make a long story short, we all met in school and later on created the band we are today.
2. What do you want people to take away from your music?
We just hope that our listeners enjoy our music, and that we can influence people with our music just like we are influenced by our favourite artists/bands.
3. How would you describe your sound to the average listener?
Influences from hard rock, heavy metal and pop music we would say creates our sound.
4. Who are three bands you’d like to tour with?
KISS, The 1975, and the Foo Fighters.
5. What are your three desert island albums that you'd never get tired of listening to?
Because of our different influences we have no favourite albums to share. Therefore, here are our individual favourite albums:
London Calling - The Clash (Hannes)
Lick it up - KISS (Ludvig)
A night at the opera - Queen (Jacob)
...And justice for all - Metallica (Henrik)
6. What’s your take on the current state of Rock?
All we can say is “MORE ROCK TO THE PEOPLE!”.
7. What’s the current music scene like there in Sweden both locally and country wide?
The music scene is not what it used to be. Sadly, there aren’t many places for lesser known rock bands to perform.
8. What’s your take on legal/illegal music downloading?
We like it when people pay for the work the artists/bands has created.
9. What’s next for The Wires?
We are working on some new material for our debut album. Hopefully it will be out sometime this year! Stay tuned.
10. Any shoutouts?
