1. How you guys doin? You have any shows coming up?
Well currently we are taking a break to write but in the next month or so we plan to be back on stage and hopefully have a new album out.
2. What's your thoughts on the Christian hardcore scene nowadays getting more exposure than ever?
well personally we think it's a good and bad thing, the good part is that all these bands are using music to show their faith and spread their beliefs. On the other hand you get bands that take advantage of it and just use it to gain the exposure.
3. Being from a hardcore outlet like Erie which spawned bands like War Of Ages and Jesus Wept, for people that don't know, what is the music scene like there in Erie?
Well it is a great scene, I mean we grew up with these bands and I mean we were watching them when they were just starting, I remember watching War Of Ages when they were still Point Zero. The support that the local bands get here is amazing. However if you can't hold your own here stay out of the pit, it's not as laid back as most places are people really love their music haha.
4. When can we expect new material? Will it sound similar to "Muscles The Goldfish"?
Well probably not we changed back to our original tuning of c and thats in the more brutal form of a but yea new music will be posted soon and its more along the metal side of things.
5. How's the search for a second guitarist coming along?
Well we have a bunch of people interested it's just a matter of finding who fits with us as a musician and as a person.
6. If you could tour with three bands who would they be?
Probably War Of Ages since they are like our hometown heroes, Winds Of Plague, and Darkest Hour.
7. What are your thoughts on illegal music downloading?
We don't think it should be illegal I mean we're in this for the music and if people are hearing it and liking it then we don't care how they get it.
8. What is your favorite song to play live and why?
We have a song called Beaver Duck: the ballad of the platypus and I think that's the general favorite by us and the fans. It goes through the most changes of all our songs, and people can sing along to it.
9. What are you currently listening to?
I've been listening to Thrice a lot lately but the old stuff, Artist in the Ambulance. That's the best cd in my opinion.
10. What's next for In Debt To The Catalyst?
Hopefully we can get signed and start touring soon, we had a tour schedule but then we lost our guitarists so we had to cancle, but hopefully we hit the road soon.
11. Any shoutouts?
We'd like to say hey to our friends She's in Pain they have helped us out a lot, they're all really cool guys and the make some great music.
