From: Canterbury, CT
Sounds like: Punk/Metal

Silence The Saboteur come from a state that isn't mentioned much in the music scene in Connecticut. MGMT, Hatebreed and Hot Rod Circuit are bands you may have heard of that have come from the state. Silence The Saboteur are looking to add their name to the list of successful bands that went on to bigger and better things with their "Kings And Thieves" EP. "The Last Page" sets things off with an acoustic opening which transitions into a marching drum beat. When the guitar riff joins, you know it's only a matter of time before it erupts. When it finally does, it explodes into a Letlive style eruption. The track has traces of punk in its more fast upbeat sound. It has shades of The Dropkick Murphys in its instrumental ferocity. "Parasite" has a progressive metal opening which leads into a more traditional metal sound. The metal sound on the track is straight in your face and punishing. The hardcore breakdowns really add depth to the track as well. "Judgment Day" has a very 80's rock opening with a great guitar solo and soft instrumental behind it. The track is more rock based with traces of metal near the end. It's a very melodic track and definitely a stand out track. "Relapse" kicks things back up with its high octane pace. The track will make your head bang and fists pumping along. It's probably the heaviest track on the EP but has a great melodic chorus. "A Debt So Colossal" closes out the EP with a great track that will linger with the listener well after putting the EP down.

Verdict:
Silence The Saboteur have a very unique sound that may be an acquired taste for some. Their hybrid sound of punk, metal, and hardcore really creates something truly refreshing to hear.
