Sounds like: Alternative Rock

The Drip Effect released this EP last year but with new music coming, let's look back and see what The Drip Effect's "Dinosaw" EP is all about. "Coup de Grace" is an instrumental introduction opener which leads into the high energy "State Of The Art" track. The track does a great job of keeping things fast and tight throughout. The sound is extremely catchy hard rock and it's no wonder why this track was a single. My goodness it's infectious. "Through The Right Kind Of Eye" is a slower track that takes the listener on a music journey of the epic The Drip Effect sound. The guitar riffs, the moody vocals, everything within its near six minute length is astounding to hear for such a long length. "Thursday Love" is a good ol' rock sound that simply rocks. "Color Me Happy" takes things to a grunge rock vibe. The comparison to the band Chevelle could be made on this track. "This Is My Town" is probably the heaviest track on the album as it borders on a melodic metal track. The harsh vocals on the track are an added element and really come off pretty natural sounding. It's a pleasant surprise of a track. "Burn The Haystack" seems like a more high octane cousin of the earlier "State Of The Art" track. The track and EP are epic and really digs deep in the arsenal to bring out the best in The Drip Effect. The bonus track "If The Fall Doesn't Kill You..." is a demo from 2012 that is still played live. The track has outstanding live appeal with its Muse like qualities. The infamous "wall of sound" that the band is known for is on full display here.

Verdict:
The Drip Effect have a captivating EP here that shouldn't be ignored. With new music on the horizon and set to be released early 2016, rock music will surely never be the same after The Drip Effect takes hold of it.
