Sounds like: Grunge/Stoner Rock

Stoner rock and grunge rock are genres that are underrated in the rock world. Black Sick from France are looking to change that as they create a sound that interweaves the genres seamlessly. "First Time" opens up the EP with a bass riff that transitions into sludgy vocals. When the melody hits, the listener is transported into the golden age of grunge. The stoner rock influence is very apparent on the track. "My Head" is single worthy as it hits all the right notes with its melody from the get go. The guitar work is stellar and it's a track that will keep you rockin' for some time to come. "Born Dead" takes it back to the grunge and stoner rock sounds with the crunchy guitars and slower pace. The track is a perfect example of how well the band meshes the genres of stoner and grunge. "Schizophrenic" is just how the name implies. It's all over the place with melody and a heaviness that was not heard on the previous tracks. It's an absolute monster of a track and should be heard right away. "Kiss Your Enemy" closes out the EP with the title track. The track is a solid upbeat closer that features the signature Black Sick sound perfectly.

Verdict:
Black Sick have an EP here that freshens and mixes up the genres of stoner and grunge rock. Stunge rock is born in Black Sick.
