Oppressed Affliction from Chicago, Illinois are looking to leave their mark on the Hard Rock/Metal scene with their brand new three track "Hostile" EP. "Hostile" opens up with a sound that gets straight to the point. The immediate metal riffing will get the listener pumped up right away. The rock like vocals mixed with the metal harsh screams bring a unique flavor to the overall enjoyable track. "Destiny" gets right into melodic vocals from the get go and develops into a very driving rock track. The track is extremely catchy and radio friendly. It's definitely a stand out track. The track brings to mind Avenged Sevenfold with its tenacity and melody. "Death March" closes out the EP with a march like tempo as an introduction. The track then breaks into metal driven instrumentation that brings to mind later Bullet For My Valentine. The track and EP are heavy and melodic in all of the right places. It's such a stellar EP from the up and coming group known as Oppressed Affliction.
