Sounds like: Melodic Hardcore

This three track EP from Tennessee melodic hardcore band Short Stay came out last month. Let's dive right in and see if Short Stay can hold their own in the melodic hardcore world. The opener "Wilt" features Andrew Dean of Full Swing. The track brings to mind the melodic hardcore grace of bands such as Comeback Kid and Have Heart. There's so much to like on the track as a fan of the genre. The passionate vocals mixed with the high tempo instrumentation make this a truly outstanding opening track. "Polarity" is a two minute romp that is fast and fierce. The track is blistering in its vocals and circle pit appeal. The breakdown on the track will stir up some dust in the pit for sure. The closing track "Evergreen" is a track that doesn't hold anything back. There's an It Prevails sound to the track which is never a bad thing. The gang vocals near the end of the track add the exclamation point on this incredible EP.

Verdict:
This three track EP from Short Stay is melodic hardcore at its finest.
