From: Sacramento, California
Sounds like: Pop Punk/Hardcore

California has such a rich history of Pop Punk bands and Lonely Avenue is looking to create their own path and put their own spin on the genre to create an unstoppable force of an album. "Keeping Feet On The Ground" gets things going right from the start. The track hits the ground running so to speak and brings with it the Pop Punk tendencies of Knuckle Puck. It's a fantastic catchy opener that'll pull in the listener with ease. "Feed Us To The Sharks" is a tad heavier than the opener. The harsh vocals mixed with the melody and breakdowns immediately brings to mind A Day To Remember more heavier material. The track puts its mark on the album that the band is not messing around and know how to dig deep and make a heavy and hard hitting track while still maintaining that catchy melody. "Even The Devil Wears Makeup!" continues the furious onslaught of that easycore genre that easily teeters between Pop Punk and Metalcore. "Pieces Of Me" is more back on the Pop Punk side of things. It draws comparisons to Blink 182 and the song simply rocks the listeners socks off. It sounds like a summer track and will surely get the Warped Tour jumping and singing along. "Please Stay" will get the pits churning in no time with its destruction but will have listeners singing along to its easy to sing along chorus. It's a stand out track that should be on every Easycore fans playlist. "Remembering May" is extremely radio friendly. The track really shines and its soaring chorus is fantastic. It has surefire single written all over it. "Bedroom" features Daniel Portillo (End The Fight) and is a short acoustic track. The track know show to pull at the heartstrings of the listener. "No One Gives A Damn About Me" picks up the pace and doesn't hold back. The track hits all the right notes with a solid, high energy Pop Punk sound. "Breaking Habits" opens right away with a Pop Punk breakdown which then breaks away to a more Post Hardcore sound that is extremely catchy and well put together. The track brings to mind Saosin. "Taking The Road Less Traveled" features Mikey Pennington (Common Grounds) and is a fast paced romp through the Pop Punk wilderness. It represents that California Pop Punk sound to the fullest. It's such a tremendous track and could easily be seen as a fan favorite. "Not Even Close Baby" starts off with an audio sample from Casablanca before bursting into a highly infectious, more melody driven track. The track really showcases that the band has depth and the end bite to the track is a nice touch. "The Epic Tale Of Travis Chittendale" takes things back to the heavy side. The destructive force of the breakdowns meshing with the melodic chorus is outstanding and creates a can't miss track. "Caffeine Dreams" is a driving, emotional track that keeps the pace at a controlled chaos of a clip. The closing track "Remembering May" features Wednesday Pope on a straight up acoustic version of the earlier track. It's a powerful track and closes out the album on a high note.

Verdict:
Lonely Avenue looks to create their own path and put their own spin on the genre to create an unstoppable force of an album.
