1. How did you get started with music and how did you develop your sound? Who thought of the name "Street Creature" and is there any meaning behind it?

Well we all got started in separate ways I guess. I (O’D) was in bands in high school and just sort of kept going from there. I think the same could be said for the other guys too (Scotty Maxx (guitar), Kane Inman (bass), Rory Keys (drums). As for the name, I think myself and Scotty were just pitching ideas at each other back and forth until we both agreed on something but we both agreed it had to be a double barrel name.

2. What do you want people to take away from your music?

Look man we are just four knuckleheads who get a kick out of playing Rock and Roll music. There's no particular agenda we are trying to get across to people. If people can get joy out of what we do than that’s a bonus. We get to tour and play our own songs live in so many cool places, and it’s always cool to see that there’s people listening in different parts of the world.

3. How would you describe your sound to the average listener?

Dirty Rock n Roll.

4. Who are three bands you’d like to tour with?

Ravagers, Hardcore Superstar, and Michael Monroe. Those would be my personal picks.

5. How has Covid affected what you do?

We were all in other bands prior to the pandemic and formed right at the start so I guess really it gave us an opportunity to get our shit together and write songs etc. Before we started taking the act to the stage, we got really tight during that time so as dogshit as the whole thing was, it really kinda worked in our favour.

6. What’s your take on the current state of Rock?

It’s fine. Rock's always gOnna be around. I think that the music industry as a whole is a lot broader than it once was and Rock generally doesn’t cop the limelight at this current stage. But who cares it’s still there and strong, no use being salty on what you can’t control. But I mean if I could control it, I'd definitely have a bigger house and a nicer car hahaha.

7. What's the current music scene like there in Australia?

It’s killer. The Australian music scene is full of talent and great live acts. It's always been for that matter.

8. What’s your take on the royalties that streaming services pay out to artists?

Royalties? Hahaha man you can’t eat monthly listeners and likes.

9. What's next for Street Creature?

We have our brand new EP “Doused in Chaos” coming out on April 17. We are playing a show on April 22 to launch that bad boy. Then the following day (April 23) we are playing Perth Rocks Festival. Then we will be hitting a few places across Australia. September/August we will be in Japan and South Korea.

10. Any shoutouts?

Shout out to everyone who has supported us along the way. We really do appreciate all the people that make this thing happen. Shout out to the guy that invented the stubby holder if he’s reading this.
