Sounds like: Rock/Metal
The opener "Divine Drive" doesn't waste any time in getting to the breakneck speed. The track then takes a step back and dips down with a more Progressive Rock feel as melodies and crunch swirl around its soaring vocals. The rollercoaster of instrumentation, melody and emotion take a tight hold as it sways to and fro within its three minute length. "Soaring" opens with more melodic instrumentation than the opener. The slower pacing is in the forefront during the first verse as it steers into the more Alternative Rock teritory. The upbeat pacing in the chorus amps things up a bit before dipping back down for the next verse. The bridge features the Progressive Rock instrumentation at its core with a tremendous guitar solo taking over shortly after. "Fathom" features a more modern Incubus like sound with its instrumentation once again taking center stage. While clocking in at around the four minute mark, it just feels like it could've been trimmed down and tightened to showcase more balance of the vocals and instrumentation working together in tandem. "Soul Dive" puts the foot on the accelerator and goes full speed from the first note to the last. The track features their trademark Progressive Rock sound to a T as the different layers of the extraordinary instrumentation go to work. The closer "Bless" takes its time in its approach. While clocking in at over six minutes, the track controls itself with a more melodic side. The pacing is more on the slower side but as a closer in a live setting, it shows off the true talents of the band perfectly as the guitar solos are top notch, the vocals are oustanding and it makes the listener hear that pure Rock sound at its core.
Verdict:
The Under cement themselves as an explosive Progressive Rock act to keep your eyes and ears on for some time to come.
