From: Texas
Sounds like: Southern Metal

1. How did you get started with music and how did you develop your sound? How did the name "Rowdy" come about and is there any meaning to it?

The name ROWDY was an obvious choice for our style, message and encompasses what we, personally, are all about. We represent the blue collar working man. We like to work hard and party harder. We are always looking forward to the next time we're getting ROWDY!

2. What do you want people to take away from your music?

We want ROWDY to be enjoyed loudly with your favorite people, a tasty beverage and while doing your favorite past t

3. How would you describe your sound to the average listener?

"e are not trying to reinvent the wheel, we're just putting 4x4 tires on it" we are a Southern Rock band and we are proud of it.

4. Who are three bands you’d like to tour with?

We are looking to get out of town often so that we can meet new people and other artists we have not gotten to meet yet. Our friends from Houston in Post Profit and NothingMore would be amazing to tour with. We would love to get ROWDY with some folks from other countries. We are trying hard to get onto a festival circuit of some kind. That is what we would like to do inside the band.

5. What's your thoughts on AI generated music?

AI can't replace us until it learns how to drink!

6. What’s your take on the current state of Metal?

It isn't what it used to be. The metal scene feels like it is missing the wild personalities and ROWDY parts about rock n roll. Metalheads now more than ever are striving to create the most impressive technical songs possible. The current state of Metal in the US is just in the right place for a band like ROWDY.

7. What’s the current music scene like there in Texas?

The scene in Houston Texas is large, supportive and FULL of unrecognized talent for all genres.

8. What’s your take on the royalties that streaming services pay out to artists?

We like money, we have a little, sure would like more, we aren't holding our breath for streaming royalties to change. That's why we make an extra effort to make the coolest merch we can so that our fans can receive really cool stuff in exchange for their support.

9. What’s next for Rowdy?

We are trying to get out of town and onto as many festivals around the country as is feasible. We want to meet you all.

10. Any shoutouts?

Shout out to our awesome support system and our team of people behind the scenes that don't get to come on stage with us. We wouldn't be on the stage if not for them.
