From: Texas
Sounds like: Deathcore

1. How did you get started with music and how did you develop your sound? How did the name "All Is Taken" come about and is there any meaning to it?

We started out in 2014 being a straight Metalcore band and playing 6 string guitar. Over time our favorite influences had brought us to where we are at this point in time. Deathcore 8 string setup. All the good band names were taken, so we named ourself just that.

2. How would you describe your sound to the average listener?

Deathcore, heavy with groove to follow. Very intricate.

3. Who are three bands you’d like to tour with?

Crown Magnetar, Enterprise Earth, and Shadow of Intent.

4. What's your thoughts on AI generated music?

Takes out the talent, authenticity and soul from the music, but if you have writers block, it does help to think outside the box. So used as a tool and not a career.

5. What’s your take on the current state of Deathcore?

The industry is def growing and becoming a more brotherhood/loving community. It's going in the right direction.

6. What’s the current music scene like there in Texas?

Our local music scene is East Texas which consist of Rap, Country and Metal. It's not near as big as Dallas area but it is here none the least.

7. What’s your take on the royalties that streaming services pay out to artists?

We def feel that us as bands should be receiving more than what we are considering how much it costs to record professional music.

8. What’s next for All Is Taken?

Like to do a couple of tours 2025. We currently have a big show here at home with The Browning/Dropout Kings/Filth and Defect.

9. Any shoutouts?

Shoutout to our merch guy Mark Cone. Upon a Burning Body for letting us tag along a few dates across Texas. Our music producer Mathias Faltskog and our music video guy Adam Paul Stone.
