Blond Viper

Blond Viper (Rock) - South Dakota

Todd Magnuson and Terri Lawrenz, founding members of the band Blond Viper, have expanded the diversity of their talents with the formation of Blond Viper: Naked, the Acoustic version of the band.

Magnuson writes, contributes vocals and plays multiple instruments on the tracks, and Lawrenz does vocals, Co-writes, and plays flute.

Both Lawrenz and Magnuson have background in the entertainment industry. They met in 2005 on the set of a TV commercial. At the time, Magnuson was a Producer and Lawrenz was a Model/Actress. They exchanged contact information for future projects. Together their chemistry was unleashed. Although as opposite as fire and ice, the two share common backgrounds, passions, and goals.

When the Covid pandemic took over the world, it hit the entertainment industry especially hard, leaving them cooped up at home, out of work. It was during this time that Blond Viper was born.

Magnuson was the singer for Razor Kane, an AC/DC tribute band. He later began his career in Television Production. He is a skilled Writer and Editor. Music always played a big part in his projects. He has produced and starred in countless television commercials, several movies, and television shows, alongside his partner and Co-Producer, Terri Lawrenz.

Lawrenz’s career in the entertainment industry began by chance when she was discovered by a Talent Agency. She was then trained in Modeling and Acting. She has done a plethora of print and commercial film projects, live promotional and spokesperson gigs. She was a Stage Model and Backstage Manager for several years for a large-scale touring event which featured headliners including Pitbull, Sylvester Stallone, Donald Trump, and many more big names. This gig led to a cameo appearance on The Apprentice and countless other opportunities.

In 2019, during the pandemic, Magnuson reached out to Lawrenz once again to help him unleash his pent up creativity by forming an original rock band. Magnuson and Lawrenz have partnered together to produce projects for nearly 20 years. Together, they have created and produced several movies and television series, including Emmy-Award nominated long-running series Nature Adventures, which was distributed worldwide and acquired by Sony Entertainment, ABC Disney, PBS, and countless other networks. Through their PBS-sponsored outreach program, they made over 500 live appearances. They aired in millions of homes throughout the world. Several seasons of the program are still in distribution. The most recent acquisition was from a Vietnamese network in July 2024.

Their award-winning movies Sometimes Yesterday and Deery: Off The Wall (currently airing on Amazon, Plex, Tubi, Youtube Movies & TV, and various other digital platforms.) have both garnered international recognition and have won multiple awards. Sometimes Yesterday features a complete soundtrack Blond Viper, which boasts several awards including Best Soundtrack, Best Original Song, and Best Original Score.

After the success of Sometimes Yesterday, Magnuson and Lawrenz decided to concentrate more on an acoustic and singer/songwriter sound and genre. Blond Viper: Naked was created. They found a real niche with this project, and have written and recorded over 20 original songs. The singer/songwriter format gives them the freedom to perform these songs live in virtually any setting or venue, with their band, or solo. The pair has found music to be a very satisfying way to stay creative.

Magnuson contributes a wide array of talents; writing, guitar, vocals and various instruments, while Lawrenz is known for her wide vocal range and for writing and performing spine-tingling vocal harmonies.

Currently, Lawrenz continues to dabble in the entertainment industry, and is the Administrator for two dance studios. Magnuson focuses on music and video production, and runs a delivery business part-time.
