The foundations of DIAMOND FALCON were laid in 2011, when Vin Weazzel (Vox) and Steve Savage (Guitar) first had the idea of starting a NWOBHM oriented band. In the middle of 2012, the line-up was completed, followed by the albums HEAVY METAL COMBAT (2014) and FALCONS REVENGE (2017).
After several line-up changes, the band found their current outfit after adding Ferdl on Bass and M.T.O. on the second guitar, which lead to the EP NEW SH!T 2019 (2022) and peaked into the latest release GATES OF HELL (2024).
While the sound on the early records was fast paced and clearly influenced by old-school Heavy- and Speed Metal, GATES OF HELL pursues a different path. The tempo of the songs is reduced, the focus is more on grooving riffs and piercing melodies, which ultimately result in a darker overall sound of the band.
GATES OF HELL reflects the problems of modern society, constantly torn between trying to create a brighter future for generations to come (The Wind In My Back, Never Give Up) while being held down by narrow minded people of power that only think in election terms or - at maximum - their own lifespan (Death Galore), thus creating a self centered, egoistic "me first" hellhole to live in (Into Eternal Night), ultimately leading into mankinds inevitable demise (Gates Of Hell, A World We Despise).
