Indulgence is a Thrash Metal band from Holland that has existed since 1996. Their musical influences come from bands like Slayer, Metallica, Exodus, Prong, Iron Maiden, Endor and Rebaelliun. With these in mind they’ve managed to create their own style and sound, and they are able to deliver a diverse live set.

1. How did you get started with music and how did you develop your sound? How did the name "Indulgence" come about and is there any meaning to it?
The band Indulgence was formed in 1996 after the breaking up of Massatack back in that days. The name Indulgence came from a record of Nasty Savage.
2. What do you want people to take away from your music?
Just that people like the music we make and go crazy on it!!
3. How would you describe your sound to the average listener?
A lot of it is thrash influenced. We grew up with that music. We like the NWBHM and of course Metallica, Slayer, Testament and so on. We have a great guitar player, James, who likes the more extreme kind of Metal. Together we make the sound of Indulgence and want to improve it more.
4. Who are three bands you’d like to tour with?
Testament, Exodus, Death Angel would be great!
5. What's your thoughts on AI generated music?
It sucks! All music should come from the soul and not from AI. I think when you use that you're a lazy cunt.
6. What’s your take on the current state of Thrash Metal?
Well the thought is picking it up and I think there will always be Metal. Young bands start and hopefully with good voices and not only screams and grunts.
7. What’s the current music scene like there in the Netherlands?
A lot of black, Death and even thrash metal as well and the new stuff like deathcore.
8. What’s your take on the royalties that streaming services pay out to artists?
Well, we just started with that so we have to see what that brings. We try to do some more now on the socials too.
9. What’s next for Indulgence?
Gigs and hopefully a small tour or something like that! Bring our music live to the people and of course working on a new album! We already have enough material to make a new one. But first play live!
