1. What's new with Omen of Dust?

Omen of Dust is currently in the studio working on 3 new songs. We're also putting the finishing touches on a band performance video for our song Behemoth.

2. What do you want people to take away from the new music?

New songs will have a broader vocal range & a different blend of melodic verses combined with heavy crushing choruses.

3. How does the writing process go with the band?

Writing process is constantly evolving to become more inclusive regards the input of all band members.

4. What have you been listening to lately?

As the lead singer & guitarist of our project I've been listening to Chevelles new album a lot.

5. Do you have any pre-show rituals before performing?

Pre-show ritual tends to include an in-depth sound check to optimize our performance.

6. What's one thing you'd change about the local music scene?

We would like to see the big local venues in Tampa include more local bands to open for the national acts they showcase. Entire industry is too driven by profit & money while ignoring the creativity of emerging artists.

7. What's your favorite show that you've played and why?

Shows we've performed at the iconic Brass Mug in Tampa rank as our favorites, due to the superior audio system plus world class sound engineer in house.

8. Any plans for any upcoming music videos?

The 3 new songs we're currently producing will all have videos. Artists need to better support & SUBSCRIBE to the channels of emerging bands like us.

9. What do you wish to accomplish for the rest of the year?

After getting our new material out to the public & our followers, Omen of Dust will be booking new shows to play out in 2025.

1. How did you get started with music and how did you develop your sound? How did the name "Omen of Dust" come about and is there any meaning to it?

Omen of Dust is the product of a long journey & an evolution over time. The songs are most influenced by both classic heavy rock & metal plus the 1990's Nu-Metal / Grunge scene. The actual band name is derived from a metaphorical reference being that all material existence is temporal in nature.

2. What do you want people to take away from your music?

Would like our audience to connect with our passion as artists & derive something positive from the experience.

3. How would you describe your sound to the average listener?

Our sound is a blend of driving metal riffs, edgy lyrics & aggressive vocals.

4. Who are three bands you’d like to tour with?

We would like to tour with Slipknot, Godsmack & Korn.

5. What's your thoughts on AI generated music?

Not a fan of AI or computer composed music.

6. What’s your take on the current state of Metal?

State of Metal seems to be inundated by repetitive, copycat & uncreative music.

7. What’s the current music scene like there in Florida?

Florida local music scene for original rock & metal bands is lacking in good venues that actually promote enough to draw a sizeable crowd.

8. What’s your take on the royalties that streaming services pay out to artists?

Streaming royalties are a complete joke enriching the platform ownership & impoverishing the artist.

9. What’s next for Omen of Dust?

Next up for Omen of Dust will be a pro level photo shoot, a new single called Behemoth & a pro quality performance video shoot for that song.

10. Any shoutouts?

Shoutout to planet earth "make peace possible not war!"
