1. How did you get started with music and how did you develop your sound? How did the name "Overload In Stereo" come about and is there any meaning to it?
We have all been musicians since we were young. Joshua and Jesse were in a band in high school and Broge and Jesse were in a band in college. Throughout life's twists and turns, the trio finally merged into what is now known as Overload in Stereo. There's no meaning to it. It was a name that was originally considered for the band Jesse and Joshua were in in high school. However, Jesse didn't care much for the name. Fast-forward to today and we had decided it was a pretty unique name.
2. What do you want people to take away from your music?
We want people to feel a connection - whether it's to the lyrics, the energy, or the emotion behind the music. Our songs are about real life, real struggles, and real triumphs, and we hope listeners can find a part of themselves in the stories we tell. Whether it’s a sense of empowerment, comfort, or just pure joy from rocking out, we want our music to remind people they’re not alone and that every challenge can be overcome. Ultimately, we want to inspire people to live with passion and purpose, no matter what life throws at them.
3. How would you describe your sound to the average listener?
I would describe Overload in Stereo as an electrifying, dynamic band that fuses raw emotion with high-energy rock vibes. Our music blends classic rock elements with a modern twist, creating an experience that resonates with fans who crave both nostalgia and fresh, energetic performances.

5. What's your thoughts on AI generated music?
AI is a tool. And just like any tool, it can (and probably will be) abused. It can help bands just starting out come up with song ideas, generate cover art, and draft bios - just to list off a few.
6. What’s your take on the current state of Rock?
I think that there is a huge amount of undiscovered talent everywhere. However, it's not what the mainstream is wanting right now. Using the current Billboard Top 40 as an example, there isn't a single rock group on that chart. Rock has the opportunity for going through an awesome re-birth with a market that is ready for something different.
7. What’s the current music scene like there in Pennsylvania?
It's a very band-saturated scene. You must be good and have something to offer to stand out. There's a ton of good talent here and we have gotten to share the stage with some of the best artists in Western PA.
8. What’s your take on the royalties that streaming services pay out to artists?
It's garbage. But then again it's a highly saturated market and if a person considers the sheer volume of music on a streaming platform like Spotify, paying higher wages would be unsustainable for them.
9. What’s next for Overload In Stereo?
We're heading into our writing season now. The fall is a busy time for us personally. This is the time when we finish up new songs that we've been working on throughout the year. We do have one more show scheduled on 12/7 that is a benefit event supporting a Beaver County homeless organization.
