Software Update (Garage Punk) - Australia

Hailing from the mean streets of Geelong, Victoria, Software Update was formed in early 2023 by four mates who shared a love for rock n roll, and havin’ a laugh. The band consists of Charlie on guitar, Gus on vocals and guitar, Tadhg on drums, and Marcel on bass. Each member brings a unique influence to the table, blending elements of rock n roll, punk, and a touch of classic rock.

Since forming, Software Update has quickly captured the attention of local music lovers with their high energy live performances. They’ve become known for their epic shows that leave audiences in awe, which has resulted in the band gaining a loyal fanbase. Their ability to engage with the crowd, coupled with an impressive stage presence, has led them to play notable venues across the region, often sharing the stage with a variety of acts.

In October 2024, they will be releasing their highly anticipated debut album, Ducks, which will be available on both vinyl and CD. This release is set to showcase their ability to take the piss and have fun with their music, but also their ability to write strong, memorable songs that stick with their audience. Featuring tracks about many different things like Ducks and Jesus being high on methamphetamine, Ducks promises to be a memorable and fun album!

To celebrate this monumental occasion, the band is embarking on a mini tour across their home state of Victoria, giving fans an opportunity to experience their live show like never before. Each show promises to be an unforgettable experience.

Looking ahead, 2025 is poised to be a transformative year for Software Update. With their growing fanbase and newfound momentum, they are set to open doors to opportunities that will allow them to share their music with a broader audience. Plans are already underway for a larger tour that will take them to different cities, sharing the stage with more established acts and solidifying their presence in the music world.
