1. How did you get started with music and how did you develop your sound? How did the name "Tazer" come about and is there any meaning to it?

Tazer formed in 2020, during the pandemic. Oni, Drumnibal, and Calico InHell were already performing together in a progressive metal band when Damien and T-Virus joined the lineup. From there, we started crafting a unique sound built around heavy basslines, electronic effects, and a driving four-on-the-floor beat, drawing inspiration from artists like Rammstein, Nine Inch Nails, Combichrist, and others. The name "Tazer" is a twist on "taser," the iconic electroshock device, which we feel captures our vision of delivering a powerful, electrifying wall of sound.

2. What do you want people to take away from your music?

We want listeners to feel the energy and let it move them—headbanging, dancing, or simply getting lost in the intensity of the music.

3. How would you describe your sound to the average listener?

Our sound combines a tribal rhythm, a punch to the senses, and an electric shock—an immersive and visceral experience.

4. Who are three bands you’d like to tour with?

Combichrist, Rammstein, and Nine Inch Nails—no question.

5. What's your thoughts on AI generated music?

While AI can be efficient for creating music, it lacks the emotional depth and authenticity that only humans can bring to the art.

6. What’s your take on the current state of EBM/Industrial?

Being a part of this scene, we feel the genre is thriving now more than ever.

7. What’s the current music scene like there in Norway?

It varies by region, but generally, Norway has a vibrant music scene—you just have to be in the right place to find the right bands.

8. What’s your take on the royalties that streaming services pay out to artists?

At the current payout rates, it’s nearly impossible for artists anywhere to make a living. It’s no surprise that more bands are choosing to distance themselves from these platforms.

9. What’s next for Tazer?

Following the release of our EP, we’re working on our debut full-length album, which will feature even more new material. We’re also planning a European tour to bring our sound directly to fans.
